Question 2013 LS3 Camaro w/ CAI vs Honda Civic EK hatchback(high hp)

Never thought I would be making one of these threads. I use to own a turbo civic and turbo integra. They were pretty fast for the power to weight ratio. A buddy just had his Turbo Civic dyno'd and made 473whp and 3XX torque. From what he said,"3rd gear is F'n insane". Just for shietz and giggles... What would the outcome be? From a dig(1/4 mile)? and from a roll? My personal opinion I'm thinking it will be a raping. I just like to see if I'm wrong

I think if his numbers are correct you would get smoked, especially with his weight advantage to boot, if you were to dyno your car you would probably be looking at around 380rwhp if you're lucky

Yeah with those numbers you'd be destroyed.

Depends. From a roll, you'd probably get destroyed. But from a dig at a track, you might have a chance. FWD cars are very hard to get to hook when they are putting up big power numbers.

IF he gets traction, yeah, but it takes more than big numbers to put up good times.

The best you can hope is that he gets greedy and turns his boost up too much and throws a rod thru his block. Other than that, he's gonna burn you a new ass.

Ummm....I doubt he has that much power. If he did, he would not even TRY to go dig. I had a 400hp Caliber SRT4. I couldn't launch that thing for crap. From a roll, I have taken a bolted SRT8 Challenger with ease (closed course track day). From dig? It would run mid 12s. Weighing only 3010 pounds with a full tank of gas....that's not that great. Granted I'm not the best driver either. That was just at around the 400 mark. 480? That thing won't even get traction until a 55 roll.

You'd be surprised what a good set of sticky tires can do to help your traction issues, even on a FWD car.

Yes I would seeing as how I've seen a full slick caliber from Realtune performance only getting high 11s with 500hp......there's a point with EVERY FWD car where it is just simply too much....more mods just makes it slower due to traction loss.

Yes and I'm sure there are also FWD cars pushing 9s. So what? This car is gonna smoke the op. Simple as that.

He does have that much power. I seen the dyno sheet. He has street slicks too. I'm 100% sure he would make me pack my lunch and go home. I was living in a dream world when I made this thread

well if the civic weighs 2500lbs with that much power from a roll I think it would pull you but from a dig he might just spin while you are hooking and gone.
