I was on the phone today with GM customer service a couple of times today and......... they informed that I will not be receiving my 2012 ZL1. They have pulled all orders that were placed after the initial orders for the car. I was told only 40 2012 will be delivered in Canada and a grand total of 20 in Ontario. They would be happy to tranfer my order to a 2013 which I would not receive until September which would be awesome geez I could then park it in my garage for the winter...... NOT

I'm really not sure what the heck is going or who to believe anymore regarding this car but man o man that doesnt make me feel great. I guess I can use my personalized plates for a paper weight...

Its a great feeling when you decide to make a purchase for a vehicle like this and you are looking forward to getting it just in time for the summer and get prepared for it and then bam this happens....Thanks GM...

JT...did your dealer have an allocation when they placed your order or were they hoping for an extra allocation? I heard that only 12 were coming to Ontario a few weeks ago...

I'm not sure of the cut off date of the orders that were in the system but I ordered mine the middle of February and the two allocations that were slotted for my dealer were pulled. The problem is I am hearing different information from my dealer than I am from GM. I had to call my dealer and let them know that I would not receiving the car.... I would have thought that they would have known before the customer. All that I do know is that my order has been pulled and I'm not alone. I'm sure the situation is different in the US as the market there is significantly different.

It's just bad business in my eyes.....

They had two allocations they said and I believe that they were telling the truth. There must have been a big problem with the car for this to happen and I'm assuming they are making the changes on the 2013 which production is apparently starting up on June 10th. The production on the 2012 will finish on April 10th..... So who knows what to believe.

Thanks. I've emailed my dealer to see if they have heard anything. I was told that 12 of the 19 Ontario dealers were gettting one ZL1 each - no others were allocated as of March 1st when I inquired.

Late Feb. I contacted about 5 local dealers and all said the same thing that they had 1 allocation and it was already taken..."but they were trying to get another". I finally found a dealer in Brampton that showed me their allocation on the GM system and took that one.

One thing I will say is the rep at GM was very helpfull in seeing if he could find another dealer that could secure one but I do realize that this is a very very long shot.... but it says alot when he calls me back to update me when I figured he would not... It all means zippo to me if the end result is that I do not have the car that I have been sooooo looking forward to.....

Thats funny cause the dealer that I found and placed my order with was in brampton and there are only two in brampton can I ask which dealer?

Check with Jack McGee in Peterborough. They had a black auto on order for their one allocation and it was not sold as of 2 weeks ago...
