Front License Plate

I live in Missouri and they require front plates. My dealer handed me the bracket and suggested I not install it. I prefer the look of my front bumper without the license plate. I have noticed several sporty cars in my area without so figured I may risk it for a while. Curious how other have handled in states that require front bumper license plates.

some put them on and some don't.there are several threads on the forum about it.
it does ruin the looks of the car.

As long as you are willing to draw attention to yourself, leave it off. We too have the front plate law, and the ugliest license plate in the nation. the car already draws attention and without a plate...? I did talk to a friend of mine in law enforcement and he said they may let you go the first time and they may not. It's a gamble unfortunately, and one i am wrestling with too.

I have never run one on my 57 Belair, +20years, and it's kinda hard to go unnoticed in it too. I'm not planning on running one on my Camaro either, we'll see.....

Interesting plate mount. Removable? Could not find it on the new era models website. Looks interesting though.

Why give them an excuse to pull you over? "Hey, while I got you here, let's see what kind of illegal mods you might have..."
My brother got pulled over here in Cali with his AZ rear plate only (AZ law is no front plate, they only give you ONE plate when you register). Got a bunch of shyt from the cop, wanted to harass him a bunch, let him go with a "warning". Cops can be A holes about stupid things like front plates and tint. I guess you have to weigh that risk in vs. keeping the car looking its best.

I live in STL, I've had a sports car for the past 5 years before I got my camaro, NEVER let the front plate touch it, and I've been pulled over for plenty of things, but even when I got pulled over they never said a word about it.

Worst case scenario they give you a ticket, if you decide to just pay it, it's $86, no points.

I THINK it is one of those that you have 30 days to "correct". As long as you can mount the bracket without drilling holes, I'd say if you don't wanna pay the fine, temp mount it, take it down, show them, get the ticket knocked off, remove plate, done.

But honestly I have only ever heard of one person being pulled over for that and it was because it was a pet peeve of the cop, he still didn't get a ticket.
