Another V6 Oil Question

There's a guy selling 0W-40 Mobil 1 pretty cheap. Any ups or downs to running this weight? Possible warranty void? Can somebody point me in the right direction?

only 0w-30 Mobil 1 is stated on the bottle to meet warranty requirements of 5w-30.

You don't cheap out when it comes to oil. You can cheap out when it comes to floor mats but that is the only thing on a car you can cheap out on.

Too bad -- that was the ONLY oil allowed in my old Crossfire. It's not cheap, it's actually much more expensive. An oil change in the Xfire cost me $125.

Great cars by the way. You can pick one up for under $10,000 now. I should have kept mine as a "beater!"

In short, find someone with a Mercedes or an Xfire -- they'll thank you for the 0w 40 Mobile 1.

Never save on motor oil unless it is the exact oil that the manufacturer recommends. It is false economy.
