i ment that the out side the car markings are all blacked out .like the bowties ,the camaro lettering.black center crome trim.

The red almost looks pink, was it the camara? The SS red is a dark red. I want to get this done but am now concerned about the shade of red.

It must be the camera or the lighting. The red matches the victory red paint color exactly.

Augie....I had it done a long time ago....and the color actually matches the SS or RS on the cars PERFECTLY! I took my car after I got them reinstalled and my dealers sealesmen went nuts....sayinog they wanted to start doing that to their RS's....lol

Once the cover is pulled over the headrest form the flaps snap into the white channel - its a bit tricky at first but they do snap in.

Yes the flaps come out of that channel - first there are a couple of stitches on each side that need to break as you pull the flap up gently. Try to remember the orientation of the flaps as you pull up - that will help on re-install. It might take a couple of tries to get the flaps to snap-in but you'll hear a snap as they lock in that channel.

It would be nice if someone would post step-by-step pics. I'm a bit nervous to take these off. From the pictures I've seen, I don't see any "flaps" that are supposed to come undone. Before I go and order new headrests to have embroidered... do any of you with 2LT cars want to sell your headrests? I know some folks bought new ones to have embroidered, so I thought there may be folks who want to sell their stock headrests. I need a pair of plain black leather headrests to have embroidered. If not, I'll just order some from gmpartsdirect.com. I have an SS, so I can't have my stock headrests embroidered as they have the blah SS logos on them already.

these directions for taking off the headrest dont seem to matchup with a CLOTH headrest....or am i wrong??? i have been wanting to do this for awhile now but cant figure out to do this to my CLOTH headrest, everything in the back looks tightly sewn up...

not the back, the bottom, where the headrest sits on the seat back...
