Side window gashes - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Had a rock hit the drivers side front side window on my maro....it now has 2 small chunks missing but it didnt crack....and doesnt look like it will either....its so noticeable from the inside looking out because the windows are tinted....and u see 2 white marks now....local autoglass shops say that liquid resin for holes and damage wont work on side windows...only windshields cause theyre tempered not laminated....also tried windshield repair kit from autozone....didnt help....not worried about filling in the holes but covering up the white marks on the clear glass the rock left behind....anybody have any suggestions short of replacing the whole side window and getting it retinted again....thanks.

If they are not deep you may be able to get some glass polish and smooth them out. It would be a lot of work.

That sucks. Last year someone on the freeway ran over a soda can and it popped up and hit my windshield. I now have a 2cm white gash where it hit.

The options you tried are what I would have done too. Not sure what else there is to do.
