Possibly moving to Roanoke VA

We're going to be visiting Roanoke in a few weeks to see what the place is like. 1 of the biggest things we want is an untouched piece of land, and we're not sure where to look. Anybody got any ideas? We would prefer it be right outside of the city somewhere.

If you look on the West side of RT 81 you might find some nice lots. That is on the West side of the mountains. It is still pretty undeveloped on that side. It is about a 20-30 minute drive to Roanoke from the Westside of the mountains.
