I agree, didn't want mine right on top of the header either. I'm not sure how mounting it on the passengers side makes it look aftermarket but to each their own. Looks good

With how far that sticks out, you don't think it's putting much stress on that mounting location?

When you have an intercooler reservoir that location is out. First time I emptied it I really had to twist on it. It was tight. Nothing even flexed, it's very secure, I've had it on there for months now and it hasn't budged!!

there are better alternatives than placing the resivoir over the headers.

I had my headers ceramic coated and the tank is not over the header, IMO that tank looks out of place, I monitor my IAT with aeroforce gauges and heat soak is no issue

Just to update, Steve at Elite is going to make a few of the shorter brackets. Maybe this will be made available to all as an optional mount?

I think your engine compartment looks like a 10. Very impressed. Now I have a vision for my ZL1!

Looks nice man, but that mounting point worries me a little bit.

I like this bracket much better, just because it attaches at two points versus just the radiator bolt. See if elite can provide something along these lines... I would buy in a heartbeat.

I'm 100% confident that the way that it's mounted isn't an issue. That location is beefy enough to support the the weight of the can IMO. Now, if the bracket didn't come up and only came straight out.....I might agree.
