anyone with 275/40-20 tires all the way around??

Curious if anyone has gone to 275/40-20's on all 4 wheels? I was thinking about doing this or going to 275/40-20's and 305/40 or 35-20's on the back.

YES, in fact there quite a few of us put the REAR stock wheels/tires all the way around, fits like a champ, no issues at all!

cool, that is definitely the way I want to go when I reaplce my heritage wheels. I at least want to be able to rotate the tires front to back and back to front on each side.

I wonder why the fronts are 45's and the rears are 40's from the factory?

What wheels and offset are you using??

Aspect ratio. That number indicates the sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the tire width. The rears are wider (275mm vs 245mm) so they went with a lower percentage (40% vs 45%) for the aspect ratio in the rear to keep the overall sidewall height consistent front to back.

245/45/20 = 28.68" tall
275/40/20 = 28.66" tall

Ah, thanks for explaining. So if I ran the 275/40/20 's on all 4 wheels I would need 9.5 to 10in wide wheels most likely. Can I run the same offset for all 4 wheels or do they need to be different??

The stock rear wheels are 9" wide. You can run 275/40/20's all the way around using 2 sets of rear stock wheels.

The stock wheel offsets can be found here. On the RS/SS wheels, there is only a 5mm offset difference between the front (35mm) and rear (40mm) wheels. The LS/LT offsets split the difference at 38mm all the way around.

But would it be wise to run 275/40s (20") on 8 inch rims? A little bulgy?
