recall to replace lifters

I was at the dealer and heard there is a recall on v8 Camaros to replace noisy lifters. Anyone else heard ?

No, my lifters are so loud I can't hear anything.

my camaro is at the dealer getting this very problem fixed as we speak!

my Camaro doesnt have this issue but my 2009 Sierra with a AFM 5.3l did this a few days back it knocked loud as hell until it warmed up, guess i should take her in to get work done

Interesting. If your warranty is voided but there is a recall do they have to honor the warranty?

I had mine repaired at the dealership for the lifter problem. Remember, this is not a recall, but merely a service bulletin from GM. Your car will only be repaired if there is a customer complaint. Because I work at the dealership, I was able to view the warranty claim and it was in excess of $1,900.00 paid for by GM. Best part is, I even got a Camaro (V6,1LT) as a rental for two days. Made me realize how much I love my 2SS!

wow nice....i didnt get a rental....but then again...i have another car.

My camaro has been at the dealer going on its second week. they had to order the new lifters from canada, and the holiday weekend didnt help....
