Engine light issue
Curious, Can you turn off the check engine light so it won't ever come back on? Reason I ask is because I had my car in for a check engine light after I had a CAI installed. When I turn the key in the ignition (Not all the way) for the startup diagnostic the check engine light turns on and stays on, but when I turn the engine on completely in runs through all the lights on the dash but the check engine light dosen't come on. Anyone got any thoughts or ideas?

Are you sure? I remember reading that if during a diagnostic a particular light dosen't show up it means theres a problem.

i went out to my SS and tested it, the cel stayed on when key is in the accessory position, goes out after startup

reason: to make sure the CEL light is actually working, so that if you do have a CEL, itll actually light up.
