Much of it is just personal preference. I'll stick with factory offsets even after I upgrade the fronts from 275/40R20 Continentals to 285/35R20 PSSs. Good luck with your decision.

I'm going factory offsets. I thought about it and decided that I prbly won't lower the car for a long time and the factory offset seems to be having no issues. +23 for me.

Considering stock ZL1 offsets on 2SS

Factory Reproductions almost talked me into the +35 because of potential rubbing issues but I'm glad they didn't. There are several other members dropped and running stock ZL1 offsets with my tire sizes (275/40R20 front and 315/35R35 rear) and having no problems.

As for as Continental Extreme Contact tires are concerned, I will have to give them a mixed review. Prior to these I had a square set-up with 20X9s with 275/40R20s P-Zeros on all corners. Steering was much more crisp with this set-up but I didn't like how the tires turned to hard plastic when it got below 40 degrees. The Continentals solved the cold problem but I don't like the handling as much. Guess that is why folks have summer and winter sets. All-in-all, the Continentals are a good all around tire.

Is there a separate thread where these other members have discussed running stock ZL1 offsets with no issues after lowering ?

Im considering the Factory Reproduction ZL1 wheels 20X10 and 20X11 from Phastek with the stock offsets and same tire size that you're running. No plans to lower it yet, but don't want to run into issues in the future.

After installing my wheels a few months back i lowered the vehicle. 1 inch in the rear and 1.4 up front. No issues rubbing. Hope this helps.

And that was with a 20x10 wheel with a +23 offset in the front?

Thanks for the input.

I run 285-35-20's on 20x10 +23's all around and love it. I am lowered 1" on Hotchkis springs and have Autocrossed with this combination without any scrapping or rubbing. I wanted the capability of rotation front to rear. The 285-35-20's lower the car an additional 3/8" or ~.40 inch. This put my rear measurements at 660mm and the front at 655mm measured from the bottom lip of the rim to the top of the fender arch. These are the recommended meausurements for a lowered car without negatively affecting axle and suspension geometry.
When I ran Autocross with 275-40-20's all around with these wheels lowered 1", I cut the front tires on the outer edge with the upper edge of the fender well. I would not run a 40 series tire if you want a good handling Camaro.

Good luck with your repaint and build. Look forward to seeing you at an upcoming SCS event.

If you run coilovers you can do alot with wheel sizes. With pedders (or bc racing) you gain 10mm more space wheel to strut area. I run TWS bathurst 10 spoke concave wheels 20x10.5 with 25 offset and MPSS 285 tires with no rubbing, and that with the alignment maxed out at 1.9 degrees negative camber.

so with a 20x10 +23 and a 275/40/20 and a 1" drop you rubbed?
Just want to be clear as i am just about to put the same thing on the car with a 1.4" drop

Did you buy new tires already? You could look at rolling the upper fender lip as mine were sharp and actually cut the tires at the top of the sidewall. You would still likely rub under hard cornering or a large dip. Go to a +35 obviously, go with a 35 series tire, or some heavy camber. Maybe some others have an idea with an inexpensive solution. Justice Pete, the vendor on this forum sells a front knuckle drop kit that may work. You could email him or JDP Motorsports to find some solutions. Good luck.
