the part that surprised me the most about the video is I had been told my whole life that old cars like that were built solid and had no crumple zones. So I really didn't expect the whole front end of the car to be crushed in like it was. I mean not having a crumple zone to absorb the impact is bad, but the video makes it looks like the modern car just cuts right through the old one...

that's fine and dandy, but why the f*%& did they use a damn perfect '59 Bel Air?

if it was a actually brand new I think their would have been a big difference for two reasons: 1) the car was fairly rusted (big orange cloud that came up) and 2) the car was probably covered in bondo to cover rust holes and dents with a fresh coat of paint
