200 mile's and only one complaint

I have 200 miles on my new Camaro and there is only one negitive thing about this car I can come up with. This window indexing system to me doesn't permit a nice solid feel opening and closing the doors. I'm sure I can't be the only one that feel's this way. Other then that, sweet!

Just be glad you are not where they ice up and do not work at all. The owners manual says to pop it into the channel when you get out. I will admit that the door sounds a little "clunky", but you get used to it. I would say by the lack of road noise and wind that it does help.

Congrats on your new ride. Looks beautiful. I was going with black at first, then changed to white. Man, black looks so good. Thats also a nice looking dog. What kind is it?

Back to the OP's point, my Infiniti G35 coupe also did the same thing. You would open the door, the window would index about 1/2" down, and then go up when you closed the door. I will say that it felt more solid on the G, but it still felt weird as opposed to cars that don't Index for air pressure between the cabin and exterior. You do get used to it pretty quickly though.

BTW, congrats. Good color choice too!

The window indexing is annoying and im always aware of it when i do open/close the door, only because i had a previous problem with my ex-corvette C6 where the window indexing once stopped functioning to the 1/2" closure. I hope it wont happen to my camaro. "Electrical problems"!

As stated above, I don't like the "clunky" feeling either, feels like the window will break. The key here is to adapt and overcome, I now pull the handle, crack the door open a touch wait for the window to move and then fully open the door, it works for me. Figure new car, new habit.

Strange- I didn't notice this on my Camaro until someone mentioned it here on camaro5.
At that time I had over 1500 miles on my SS. The only thing I don't like about mine is the annoying seat belt strap on the seat that keeps popping open. Otherwise my Camaro is perfect.
