Don't fiddle around with the stock one, grab one of these. They may be $90, but that's far better than a $300 fine. They have them for V6 and V8, with or without gfx. I grabbed one a month back after Darth_Emma recommended them.

Gives them a big flat target for those laser guns too. The only legit reason I see is if they had to search parking lots for a given plate number.

Every state that borders Ohio doesn't require front license plates. It's BS.
