Okay Gentlemen.. Home made CAI redo, check it out.
Removed my stock washer fluid, like that bad ass systems I have seen. Extended the filter to behind the bumper. Ruled out trying to build myself a heat shield. This was much easier and only $50 more the the tube, and smaller washer fluid reservoir.
Bash it or praise, I can take both well... And it ultimately helps.

Do you have a pic of the filter? Is it a cone type? How does your car run?bv

K&N 4 inch i have old post of when it was off to the side. I have dyno results that are STD settings not SAE..... that say 402rwhp. I cut my cats, borla worthless loud exhaust... (GMPP track pack) and now I have a Diablo. It runs amazing. Extremely fast, and much better than stock.

If you want to build CAIs for this car dude you've got to be like every other company and make some sort of claims. I don't understand why you keep posting this stuff without doing some data logs. You go through all this trouble to make it, show us what it does, I could care less how it looks. Looks like a CAI.

I like it; especially if you feel it in your butt dyno.

If i had the money to spend $300 on the manufactured cai i would have. If i had the money to please you and run a shit-ton of dyno results i would too. I tint windows and have bills and shit. Final result, my car is faster. More responsive. If I had the data logger for my predator I would even log real time data of mass air flow temp and the other air flow readings. With the filter down low behind the bumper average temp is below 40* C.... What else is there to say besides.... HAVE YOU SEEN THE STOCK INTAKE. Reduce restriction, increase the ability to bring in cooler air, well shit COLD AIR INTAKE.... And I will keep posting

you might want to check out the filter area after you have driven the vehicle in heavy rains or after driving on a road that had a good amount of standing water on it. If your getting water spray from the wheel well or through the radiator support and grill in that area, that wouldn't be desirable.

That is my really only concern. Ideally I would love to never drive in the rain, my stock Pirelli's are soooo bald. Tires HAS to be my next investment.

A for effort.
You still need to monitor and record your fuel trims to get to the real data wether or not this system is working to it's full potential. IAT data would also be very useful especially when sitting in traffic. then compare to stock box. Ted.
