Didn't the 1999 z/28 advertise like 305 and and wound up having 325 at the wheels? It was a head to head with the Mustang GT and it was killing it. I can't wait to see what the SS does on a dyno. I don't think however, that the RIS will allow for such an improvement.

Anyone remember?

Bottom line guys, we all know the 6.2 with basic mods and a tune is well capable of putting down 400rwhp. If you need more than that, buy a Z06

or put together a 415 LS3 stroker engine with some cnc L92/LS3 heads and have it ready to drop in to replace the L99 engine when you get your new camaro,, well thats my plan anyways

But I want a back seat, 11 seconds in the 1/4, and 20 mpg.. If Ford can do it why can't GM?? Starting to piss me off.. I've been a Chevy fan forever but have recently been taken in by the darkside.. Hoping the new Camaro will bring me back!:seesaw:

1st in line for a new SS Camaro..
Hoping GM will do the right thing. Super charge the new SS.. So it will compete with the big dogs!

I can understand man, speed makes you do awful things sometimes!

Ummm....why? The L99 IS the LS3, just with AFM. A cap/lifter swap and you would have an LS3.

Well, you have a couple options in that case. You can either trust that a supercharged Camaro is coming, or you can buy a supercharger for an SS. As for why can't GM do it, who says they can't? 2 engines exists that are more than capable of delivering what you want

yes, but then it is still a 376 ci,, this car is heavy and will need more than a cam/lifter swap to run in the 10's , so i figure why not build a complete engine and swap it out
