I'm convinced these Camaros are haunted. :emoticon7:
Some say it's because Jimmy Hoffa is buried beneath GM’s Renaissance Center Detroit.

It was on this date (July 31) in 1975 that he disappeared.

Picked up the Silver Streak today after they R&R the dash insert....great job, looks brand new. Love my dealer!! Let's see if it lasts or bubbles up again.

Great. This is going to be the new "convertible top" issue where a ton of have this problem but GM does not give two shits.

I wouldn't put a bubbling of this piece in the same catagory as the top problems. At least bubbles won't develope into leaks and flood the interior.
This is a new issue dealing with 2012's hopefully not with 2013's. I am sure that this is not being ignored and will be fixed. It just takes time.

I wonder if anyone has tried the trick used to get air bubbles out of vinyl stripes, using a fine needle to open a small vent hole and work the air out the hole.

I was thinking about that just today actually. It could be possible that the glue/materials used are having an unexpected problem where they are gassing off and the air has no place to escape. If that was true though, it should be worse under extreme heat and mine developed back in the spring I think. I also would venture to guess that the vinyl expands and contracts slightly with the heat during the day and piercing it could cause it to rip on its own over time at the point where you pierced it.

Just speculation on my part. Still haven't had time myself to take the car to the dealer.

It gets pretty hot in a closed up car even in springtime in Fla, I don't recall anyone reporting this problem during the winter months. I bet since the material and what it is glued to is not breathable maybe that causes the bubbles to form. If either the material or what it is glued to was breathable these bubbles would never form. But that is my opinion.

I know, neither would I but still. The point remains that out of all the cars I have ever had, This and my old vert have been the most problematic.
