I had the dealership install these and I'm not sure if they used the old gaskets or not.

Let me ask you this....since this is what I have found out...

Have you ever driven a car w/ stabilitrac before?

I ask, because, I was told this might be the problem.

SHO NUFF....I turned it off and ran it at about 25mph and did a hard right turn. Guess what...no "rubbing" feeling.

The stabilitrac will make it feel like it rubs. Give it a go. Turn it off and try your hard turns n' see if it continues.

I have not had ANY issues since turning it off....not once.
I've not driven a car with stabilitrac before but I never had the rubbing problem before I had the headers installed. I'll try your suggestion though thanks.

Uh oh...if it never happened before, then maybe there is an issue.

I got that same rubbing feeling, but after turning it off, nada. It was fine. LMK what happens.

If you are planning on supercharging it, it's the way to go.

I do plan on super charging it later. Just got the exhaust in looks great except for one end of the pipe where the muffler slides on was bent(in shipping I guess) and i can't even slide the muffler on. So i might have to send it back or try to bend it myself. Always something!

How badly is it bent? Mine were bent outwards a bit on the mufflers, but they bent right back into shape. If it's that bad, send them back. However, I'd rather save the shipping cost and just run up to the local machine shop, exhaust shop, whatever the name, and hvae them bend them back for me for 15 bucks. And, you'd have them that day....rather than having to wait a couple weeks or so.

It's pretty bad. Called Stainless and they said i could try and fix it myself but if i couldn't to send it back and they would take care of it. Going to try myself first like you said so i won't have to ship it back. The muffler won't come close to slipping on so hopefully i can work it out. The guys at Stainless are awesome to work with though i am so happy i went with them and recommend them to evryone wanting a good exhaust and great service.

Yes I'm quoting my earlier post so you dont have to go back. It IS the clamp on the steering column that hits the rear pipe when making right turns. there is a mark on the pipe where it rubs. Emailed SW on it and they said they would look at the next several cars to see if it happens. They suggested I loosen the motor mounts and try moving the engine toward the passenger side. Not too enthused about that. That may cause other unforseen problems. Anyone ever do something like that before?

No kidding?!?! Holy Crap!

I noticed it on mine once. And that was the only time.

I'll have to look at it again to see if there were any rub mark I doubt there will be.
Strange....I don't know about moving an engine over, though.....
