Broken into

So today i went to the mall to get a costume for Halloween for me and my girl. we were in there for a hour, then were checking out when the check out lady said something about driving a Camaro and jokingly i replied HOW DID YOU KNOW!! she then preceded to ask what color was it and i replied grey. "your window has been smashed in she said i didn't believe it and went out side and looked at my car noticing something was wrong instantly. As i got closer i saw all the glass on the ground and all over my seats Austin pd responded after a security guard notified the police.the police officer asked what was stolen and i replied that my Escort 9500xi was and he then dusted for prints and found none.

What i don't understand is how and why people do this, are people seriously immature that they don't have the object so the only way to obtain the object is to steal it! So Not COOL!!

They didn't want your object, they wanted it to sell to buy drugs or beer.

That sucks man...jealous people can't take it, someone who has worked for something is just out of their mental capacity. I hate this story, pisses me off

Dam, just saw the pictures. Now that's a smash and grab. I hope your paint didn't get scratched. Did the LEO make any remarks about your radar detector being stolen?

It happens...Passport 9500 is an expensive electronic item, they can take that to the pawn shop and get the money for their next fix or whatever. Sorry for your luck. My friends truck was broke into for a small bag sitting on the front seat...the only thing in it was some pen and pencils and magazines. The perps were probably hoping for a laptop or something.

Maturity has nothing to do with it. Self control on the other hand...
Fact of the matter is that it's an easy sell. I say keep an eye for it in the pawn shops nearby. You never know if it'll pop up.

Really sorry that happened to you. Totally sucks!

My car was broken into once - not my Camaro but a similar MO - the cop that came out to write a report told me crooks generally go from car to car looking for anything that's left out in the open.

No car alarm short of a trunk monkey is gonna stop 'em when they're in and out that quick. Lesson learned, I never leave anything in plain sight in my car anymore.
