Did you grind the floor to Expoy it?
Im going to paint the garage floor tomorrow. So far ive decreased, removed old paint, and cleaned the floor. A lot of videos on the internet have people grinding the floor before putting paint down. Directions on my kit dont mention that i have to. Do you think its necessary?
This is what im using: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleu...2#.Uf2RAPnWaqk I went to home depot to see if they had a grinder and all the have is a hand held one and you have to by the blade at $150. No way in hell im grinding a over size two car garage with a handheld grinder. What do you think?

I think it depends how old the concrete is.

I suggest looking at garagejournal too. I used a product from Home Depot, may have been Rustolium, don't remember. However, my garage was only a year or two old when I did mine. I etched and cleaned like the directions said. I applied the product, following the directions. I kept the cars off of it for a week longer than the directions said. I then, parked on cardbard for several more days. That stuff chipped off the cement anyway. It progressively got worse over time. It wasn't horrible, but I wasn't impressed by any means. I don't blame the floor, I blame the product. A friends is doing the same thing, off of a brand new garage. I'm gonna look into U-Coat-It for my new house.
Good Luck.

Well, I just now looked at the post date. I'm sure you've done your garage by now. Did you use Rustolium? How is it holding out?

Floor was 12 yr old. I degreaser, then wet diamond ground it, then degreased again, then patched all cracks and divots, and hand ground all of those areas. Then I power washed about 5 times till no cream would come out of the concrete from the diamond grinding.
