Help with a 850 holley carb

Just installed a wide band on the 68 at idie running 13.9 and cruse 12.5 but WOT 15.2 its, a 850 holley vacuum secondary. Fuel level is correct. Running 78 & 82 jets with rear extension. Light spring in secondary is all in at WOT.

Just thinking of going up one jet size and playing with the idle mixing screw on main would that help? Are is that to easy??

A little info on set up its a zz502. I am at 18 D base on timing all in at 3600rpm with #4 plugs AC DELCO.

Your gonna want to be up around 96-98 on your jets. Thats your issue. Is the power valve blocked on that carb? What is your vacuum at idle?

Also, idle air mixture is just that, idle only. From there the air bleeds for the main circuits come into play.

Will check vacuum tomorrow. That a big jump on jets but will go up on them and check power valve. Trying to get a starting point on tune.

Yeah my idle is good. Maybe the air bleeds has some thing in it are just needs to be resized ?

We use welding tip cleaners to check or hone the air bleeds out a bit.
