Reason for that is that is there was confusion about the new auto Chevy ss had 415hp. I think it was later discovered it wasn't a l99 engine but a LS3

The Chevy SS uses a LS3 not L99.

Also I can see 13s making a few ponies maybe. Weren't they the first to introduce electric steering. Or was that 2012

Dynos are also not so much a tool to show you where you currently stand. But moreso how much of an increase you have gone through. Otherwise all Dino's would be standardized and would measure the exact same. Unfortunately...they don't. Unless GM changes the ratings on the l99 it will remain the same. Remind me did they ever change 2010 ratings for the v6? I'm sure they did cause they said they were using the cts ratings if I'm correct

I don't understand why people continue to try and fix people here.

OK I retrack my post, just keep in mind the LS3 on the Chevy ss makes 415hp which makes the L99 ss less attractive. The 14s will get a bump the 13s DNA will be in them might not be rated from GM.

I can see it now: Me: Do you have an L99 Camaro I can look at? Saleman: We do. But we also have an overpriced, 4 door sedan, the new SS. It has an LS3 and has 15 more HP then the Camaro. Might not look as good but it does have 15 more HP! Me: Sold! I'll take the SS |

Some people lol...
My dealer told me my SS has 450 HP so it must be true! They added the boddy kit that helps push the weight lower to the ground so it doesnt have to work as hard. Thats why i have 24 HP more then a normal SS. Believe it or not i have actually been told that before by someone. Seriously though just because your car dynoed 5 HP more then someone with a 2012 doesnt mean the rating changed from GM. |

432hp vs 426hp = + 1.4%. Probably within EPA tolerances and not worth raising a fuss over in the US.
Otherwise could be a different tune since European fuels have higher octane. |
