Weight still heavy compared to Boss 302 (non LS) 3632 lbs., but big difference from ZL1, so on the track the 1LE shine nicely. And being that it has IRS and monotube shocks and thicker sways, this 1LE will run very well against more modified vehicles.

And it won't have 120-150 lbs of supercharger over the front wheels.

Did you see the Pics I took at the Hilton head concours de elegance in november 2008. It was of a IOM camaro show car parked next to a red Pontiac G8. You could hardly tell the dif in the pics.

larger front and rear sway bars, larger wheels, larger/HD half shafts, HD tranny, strut tower brace, additional fuel pump...it adds up.

pictures hardly ever do IOM justice, and the light changes the color, even in person.

I forgot about the axles...you are correct. This 1LE is going to be even better and stronger than the original 1LE's. No disrespect.

I figured the 1LE might be a little quicker than an SS. I am hoping for low 12s with a cam, CAI, and tune. Right now I am leaning toward a Katech LS3 torquer, but something from Comp Cams is also a possibility.

I am patiently waiting for chevy to update their website so I can build and price, and more importantly, BUY one of these.
I went through years of hell in school and always swore a new camaro would be a graduation gift.

This afternoon I ordered a '13 Camaro 1SS/1LE in BRM for my son and I. Knowing of course that both 1LE and BRM are either on constraint (BRM) or not able to order yet (1LE). My print out from the dealer does show 20"X10"F and 20"X11"R as the 1LE wheels. Now the wait...

I went to pontiacs in pigeon forge car show in June. They had a trans am depot GTO "6T9" conversion there
that was painted IOM. It was all orange. Couldn't see any red in it all.

I have a feeling that the 1LE will sell well enough that heavy will increase the price for 2014, it is a great value. I do think there will be complaints from owners when they see how much replacement tires are.

In person is different. And although you can tell it's orange, it still varies by light source.

In any case, I stated "pictures". Just browse the Official IOM thread. Unlike other colors, until you see it person, you can't tell random pictures how it really appears.

And not that it matters, but I love the color and it would be my color of choice, but the wife doesn't care for it. And while I could still get it, I'd rather get something she likes as well. Aside from the green, all of the colors look good.
