Not "needed" for hardtop, mostly cosmetic, but it does stiffen the front end up. If just that much more.

Don't know if it's needed but it's on my to do list. Not really liking the way my stock SS handles thru the twisting roads near my house. Can't wait to get some suspension upgrades and a strut tower brace. So for me it's a (needed) item.

No you don't need one to do the Gangnam dance.

So it's recommended but not a necessity.... I wouldn't hurt if I installed one. I'm talking coupe not convertible.

it really all depends. are you going to race your car? autoX or road course? that's really all you would want it for. unless you are just really aggressive when you drive on a daily basis. lol

definitely won't hurt to install one.

Pedders does not list a strut tower brace as any sort of a handling enhancer. They suggest specifically to not install one.

If you are going to be attacking corners then yes. I've always added a strut tower brace along with sub frame connectors, sway bars, and suspension so I've never really found out for myself how effective the tower brace is on its own but it certainly isn't a waste of money to have one. Your car is going to flex when you carry plenty of speed into a turn and you'll want as much precision as you can get.

I've been wanting to get the BMR brace.

I like mine. Can't say for sure how much it really changed the handling, but as far as mods go, it wasn't very expensive and it looks cool, IMO

definitely not NEEDED, but the Factory ones look right at home on the coupes. Plus it fills the drill holes on second batch 2011 and up Camaro coupes.

Dave did you decide to ditch your engine cover or did the brace prevent you from putting it back on?

I'm only curious, I dumped my engine cover the day I bought my car.
