That does suck OP. I hope everything works out for you in the end.
On a related note, looking at those locking lugs, I can't imagine they hold up to the required 140 ft/lbs on the SS... O.o |

Ive had my locking lugs on for over a year no problems holding up that Ive seen.
whoever was asking how much they cost: if you look you can get some for like $50 for set of mcgards, they don't have an opening to use a socket and your lugs are recessed in the wheels, so that much more difficult to remove...... i think I got my Gorrilla set from Autozone for like $30 or something, not sure been awhile. you can find some good ones for good price if you search around. I always put the key socket somewhere unusual depending on the car, like stuck down behind the back seat cushion or 100 MPH taped in the engine compartment somewhere.....somewhere accessible, but not easily, and not a normal place...... I still worry about the splines on either the lugs or the key breaking when you try to factory torque it. Seems like a bad idea on these cars since it's so high. What are you guys torquing them to? |

That sucks so hard. I'd be pissed. But what do you expect, it's Newark. Been there, not going back.
Tuscaloosa, Al, at first glance is one huge ghetto, and that's true, but there are three sure fire ways to not get your house robbed here. 1. Don't look like a student, when 30,000 students clear out for break out of a metro area of 90,000(or 192,000 on football saturdays) thiefs clear out their houses for them. 2. Have a Chuck, that's my dog. Don't say anything about a girl named Chuck, it's a family name. But it's like this, when my cop buddy comes by once a week and sits in his patrol car for an hour in my driveway(which also helps deter thieves) he says "dude, nobody is gonna mess with your dog". To me she's a sweet heart, I swear. 3. Lot's of guns, and make sure the general public knows you're armed, heavily. Again, when my cop buddy walked in and saw my .500 Magnum sitting out he acted like he about stepped on a snake and said "I forgot you had that thing!" Yeah it really sucks that happened to your car. Seriously though I'm fortunate that with all the football money and tax revenue from that and the University, Thank you Nick Saban, that we have a ton of cops on patrol all hours all around the city. They are usually friendly and nice and you don't go very long without seeing one drive by. Hope it works out for you, get your car fixed and look for a job down here, several big companies in a small town, Goodyear has a facility, Hunt Refining, and Mercedes has a plant right up the road |

Sorry to hear. I have been without locks and I definitely will be ordering a set. Anyone know of a motion sensing/tilt upgrade to the stock system.

Then they'll just wait til you're not at home and rob you blind and sell all your guns on the black market. Keep that shit a secret so when they try and surprise you, you surprise them right back, and they don't rob anyone ever again.

Sorry that this post even exists. That is so terrible. I really don't miss Jersey, but then again I lived in central Jersey. I thought people stopped stealing rims in the 90s??
The one positive to locking lugs I guess. Hopefully karma catches up with these guys REAL QUICK.
