While the NISMO has slightly more power over a standard 370z it also weights a tad more due to the body kit. It also has an even stiffer suspension which makes effect launches difficult. That's why NISMO Z's don't pull any different times compared to the regular 370z.

A Camaro SS slowly pulls away from a 370z every time, drivers being equal. The Camaro SS has a much better top end pull than the 370z.

Compare the stock 1/4 mile times for the Camaro SS with the stock times for the 370z.
Post both of the 1/4 mile lists for each car and compare (I've done it before and its obvious which car is faster). You will see that the Camaro SS (on average) is faster and traps a few mph higher in the 1/4 mile.

In a race from 0- 150 mph, the gap widens even more. Find stats on 0-150 mph times for both cars and you will see the difference. Several mags test cars to 150 mph. The last time I checked the SS's times to 150 mph were several seconds (not tenths) faster than the 370z.

Again, I said on paper the Camaro has the advantage but in real life situations where there no stop lights, sensors, trackers, etc it's pretty even. I own both a 370z NISMO and prior to that owned a 370z sport touring. Currently also own a 2014 Camaro 1LE and prior to that had a 2010 Camaro 2SS 6-speed. The Camaro is my fiancés DD and the Z mine. We have raced each other plenty of times in all sorts of situations (drag, fwy, top speed, auto-x, etc). It always comes down to who got the jump and who had better shifts. We are also part of a car club that is 70% Corvette and Camaro cars. Again, raced multiple Camaros on our club runs in my Z. I've been neck and neck with multiple Camaros, some with intake and exhaust up to 145mph with neither of us pulling on the other. I'll admit the Camaro has the edge but the cars are so close in performance that the edge can easily be lost. It's like the whole Mustang vs. Camaro debate. Mustang has the edge on paper but in real life situations the Camaro can flip the tables

Unless the radar unit was out of stand by mode, your radar detector wouldn't be going off. The cop detector app thing is a joke, and the cop would have to be in line of sight to get anyone's speed visually, and then verify it with radar. Thanks for the story though, it was entertaining at least.

Escort live connects via bluetooth to some radar detector models and records other drivers detectors that have passed through the area, it helps to alert you if a radar detector is being turned on and of in the instance of a speed trap.

There wher maybe my age or a little younger. And the app does work. I have used it on multiple occassions.
