Help me to select Michelin Pilot Super Sports?

I am close to ordering a 2014 Camaro 2SS coupe with the RS package. The car will be delivered with 20 X 8 R42 wheels and Pirelli P-Zero 245/45ZR/20 tires on the front and with 20 X 9 R42 wheels and Pirelli P-Zero 275/40ZR/20 tires on the rear.

My plan initially is to mount the OEM tires on a set of HRE Flowform wheels (20 X 9 on the front and 20 X 10.5 on the rear). The widths of the wheels are within the accepted ranges of the Pirelli tires (7.5-9 and 9-11, respectively).

When the OEM tires wear out (and the car will be a daily driver so it won't take long), my intention is to upgrade to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I have studied the size and spec charts on the Tire Rack site and to this novice, it appears that the following would be a good fit:

On the front (20 X 9 HRE wheels), size 255/40ZR/20; diameter 28.0
On the rear (20 X 10.5 HRE wheels), size 295/35ZR/20; diameter 28.1

The Michelin tires are actually shorter in diameter than the Pirelli OEM tires that are 28.7 inches. The Michelins, of course, would be substantially wider.

Does anyone have the Super Sport tires on a 5th generation Camaro with similar-sized wheels? In any event, does anyone have any better sizing recommendations? Thanks in advance.

The 295's on the rear would probably be a perfect fit. They run very wide compared to other tires and look like a 305-315. I'm not sure about the front size since I don't have any experience with super sports on that size rim. It seems to me though that if you keep the new diameters close, you should be ok. And remember, the difference in diameter from stock to the super sports is 0.7". This means the car will be around 0.35" lower than stock, and the wheel well gap between top of tire and edge of fender will be 0.35" larger (more gap). I can look into sizes for the front a little later if someone else doesn't chime in on your selection in the meantime. Looks like you are definitely on the right track, though!

Thats a good match. Ask MARINE 1991 as he has that setup. The speedo only off about 1/2 mph

Those are the sizes I will be ordering when my PZeros are replaced
(a few thousand miles more ... I only have 6000 miles on it so far).

A perfect fit.
