The 2nd letter only had 2 Camaro Sketches you could download, it was a onetime visit type site that basically wanted your email addy. It was nothing really of importance in regards to our orders.

I got my second letter today with the Camaro photo. I ordered my Silver Ice 1SS on 10-15-08 from East Syracuse Chevy.

I just talked to my sales people to get my actual order id #, actually letters with one number in it. They were told by GM today that I will have my 2ss/rs in june or july no later. I also asked how many v8s were ahead of me and I am #2 at this dealer. So I feel pretty comfortable with that since I am still trying to pay cash and could use the time. So no letter but yet but who cares I want the damn car.

They're full of it. Which dealer. You should have it by then but not because someone at GM told them so.

Yeah, I think it should be pretty clear that no dealer at this point knows for sure when you will get your car. They can certainly guess and June/July seems like a reasonable expectation given that GM is saying all 10,000 pre-orders should be delivered by October. But no dealer has been told anything from GM about when specific cars will be delivered.

I'm glad to see everybody else knows more than the people ordering the actual cars. Not much of a nice place to post info if everyones just going to bitch and pick things apart. Last post, enjoy bitching to each other like a couple of old hens. I'll just enjoy my car this "summer"

Wow, thin skin huh? All anyone here does is try to "enlighten" people to the realities of the situation. Sorry. No I'm not. There is NO WAY the dealer got that kind of knowledge talking to Chevy. They aren't even making the damn car yet. You tell someone the dealer is blowing smoke up their ass and you're the jerk? Jeesh...

Wow! What??!! I think it is well documented that dealers aren't as informed as some folks on here (and add to that that we have GM representatives and knowledgeable dealers on this site). I didn't read anything below that made me feel that anyone was bitching. We were just trying to carefully set expectations since so many others have had false expectations and in the end get mad at GM because they got mis-information. Sorry you feel like this site isn't the place for you. I hope you reconsider. We have some great people and some great information.
