In looking at how my engine cover is sitting I think the cover can still be used. I would need to extend the stud for the front passenger side, Not a big deal. I had read that to extend the Oil fill port you can go to the GM parts dealer in your area or online and get one the was made for a G8, Nothing definite but I did read it somewhere.

Now we come to the rear connecting point. I don't see them being a problem because the hooking points for the Engine cover fingers are going to be moved up with the Plume.

It would be interesting for someone that has this installed to do a clearance test with the hood. (not mentioning any names).

So if the guys at Mace can get some more power out of our LLT, us putting a plastic cover over it should not be a major obstacle.

I've got the 25mm insulator, but no plenum spacer (yet). The hood closes without issue with the engine cover in place..

I expect the 12mm plenum spacer and Black Iceolator combo would be no problem.

Steve- when do you expect to have the bolt packs for plenum spacer/25mm insulator installation?

I'm ready to order when you are...

you guys will be fine. it come with 4-12mm aluminum adapters. you will also need 4 m8-1.25, 160mm hex bolts(coarse) for the center. you can use the same bolts for the very front and very rear. you will also need new plenum cover bolts. I can't remember what was the new size you will need but you can get those from home depot all day long. the factory size is m6-1, so just get something that's at least 10mm longer from factory length. The long four 160mm bolts will have to be ordered unless you can somehow find those at local hardware specialty store, but I had no luck. I had to order from Texas for 13 bucks for 4. not sure how Steve is going to go about the new bolts needed but remember that what I mentioned are for 25mm insulator. if you have vmax 9mm insulator than im sure you guys will need different size bolts to compliment the smaller vmax size.

I had to raise my stud even before adding the Iceolator. So after the install I had to raise it to the point that I needed to make a bracket. Someday I may go with something different, but for now this works.

As for the G8 oil extension tube, you will want to get part # 92068813. This is the extension tube and the oil cap combined.

Here are a couple photos of my stud extension bracket, and the oil tube extension.
