zl1 grille

I was just wondering exactly how difficult it is to change from the factory ss to the zl1 grille. Also any opinions on the cheapest place to find one?

You have to take off the front facia in order to replace grille. Approx a 2-3 hour process. The average price is about $115 without bowtie or any badging.

Not to difficult at all. Like stated above you need to remove the fasica which sounds much more difficult than it actually is. If you research on the forum for a heritage grill DIY or a Fascia removal DIY you will find lots of information since hundreds of people have done it

It's pretty easy, make sure you have a second person when taking the bumper off to make things a lot easier. Did mine in about an hour and half with a friend.

The only hard part about removing the bumper is not having the right tools... and having big hands.

x2...

floor jack
jackstands
trim tools or panel popper
socket set with extensions
torx driver

is all you need to make this a 2-3 hour job. The front end of these cars comes off so easy as it's 90% bolts and positioning pins guide it into place...easy..mines coming off again this week for an apex scoop and splitter....
