when is a new car really used

Looked at a new 13 . rs 2lt vert. however car difficult to see as someone had it all the time. si today i looked at car. 465 miles dirty and glitter in back seat. no window sticker anymore. salesman sd used in prom and maybe a parade. i ran. that to me isva used car even though never titled and not a demo either... what gives

They can still basically sell it as new due to the fact that no title had been issued to someone else other than the dealer.

If they do want to sell the car and it's in bad shape to sell as a new car, it's a perfect opportunity to make them drop the price faster than my ex gf would drop her panties for any local band member... -.-

Might have been a spot delivery to someone, then financing fell through so car may have had to been returned.

Well build date was a year ago. i think the owners let their kids and friends use it. and glitter in back srat? and lost window sticker too

I'd make them lower the price considerably just because it's in filthy condition. This actually sounds like the story someone was telling earlier about him buying a vert and it was a parade car and the glitter doesn't come out of the back seats.

What you describe is a used car. This is a common problem among new cars. Usually they are dealer demo's or in a few cases cars that were traded from one dealer to another. Used in a prom sounds odd and likeliness it was driven by some kids at least that night & probably was beat on a bit.

It's illegal to sell a new car without a window sticker.
A car is "used" the precise moment it is sold and titled.

The Monroney sticker is required to be affixed to the side window or windshield of every new car sold in the United States and can only be removed by the consumer (Chapter 28, Sections 1231-1233, Title 15 of the United States Code). A fine of up to US$10,000 per vehicle plus one year in jail for each offense is authorized if the sticker is missing.

My car now is technically my 2nd 45th. The first one I bought, had a small dent in the door that the dealer took upon themselves to do paint work without getting consent from me to do so. They said they would have a paint less dent remover guy come and fix the dent. I refused the car because they had to blend the paint. They had to sell that car as used. Didn't even have it a week and they had it back. I took my plates off and walked out of the dealer.

I'm still trying to find the owner of that car so I can inform them of what happened.

Its b.s. i can buy a car with 4 miles and put 8 miles on it and title it and now its used. however the dealer can have every tom dick and harry drive it for 1000 miles and use it for whatever rrason and not title it ans call it new. what a double standard. what dealer wont soend 4 minutes to vacume and wipe downa 35k car before customer sees it.
