Removing dash
I looked but couldn't find any DIY on removing the whole dash. Does anyone know the steps to remove it. I painted the center a/c vent black with a brush but I'm not happy with it.( I'm to anal). So I'm gonna remove it and paint it right. Just hoping for a little direction, it would be nice to no where all the screws, bolts and clips are at.
Thanks. |

Check the DIY section for a HUD install DIY. There should be a few in there.

Do you have a a leather dash or the 2010 one? Because if you are just wanting to paint the a/c bezel and you have the leather dash, you don't have to take out the entire dash for that just the leather part. If you still want to take out the entire dash, pm me because I have a PowerPoint that will help you out

So how did you manage to take the dash out without taking out the windshield?

No reason to take out the windshield. It'll fit thru the door. Lol. Maybe I'm missing part of your question.

Well when I had my heater core replaced, they had to remove the windshield to get to the 2 bolts, what is your trick on this, just in case I have the same problem "which I hope I don't" lol.

I have no idea why they took the windshield out, there's no bolts or screws around the windshield while removing the dash.

There is one bolt in the back center that is a total pain in the a$$. I didn't get it back in but no side effects yet. Still have it if I decide to try again. To me that single bolt would be the only thing that taking out the windshield would be of any help.
And personally if going that far I would really recommend going ahead and doing the HUD. |
