Country driving at night bad for car

Its been hot here and my whole city has road construction. So I thought I would take a drive in the counrty last night. Everthing was fine until a possum ran across the road. There was a car on the other side so I had to hit it. I went home thinking good thing I dont have my ground effects yet, but what kind of damage do I have. I found a small scuff mark in front on the clear coat and under the car was still clean. I,m glad it was not a deer!

Glad your car isn't damaged. Sometimes I see deer on the side of the road walking and I'm just hoping the deer doesn't run out >_<.

i once hit one of those with my 94 camaro with gfx doing about 70mph on a rural highway. it wasn't a pretty sight to clean up. somehow the gfx withstood the impact...the possum not so much...

That's crazy well guess I make the 3rd possom killer this weekend. I was running 70mph on the highway going to Knoxville movie theater with my daughter and it just walked to middle of road & stopped I tryed swearving a little to avoid it but didn't want to jerk to hard and wreck. But luckily no damage at all. Maybe the Possums are out to try and get the camaros! It's a conspiracy! Maybe somehow mustang owners have some how figured a way to pay off these Possums to run out in road and try to make us wreck these sweet rides and that way they have the coolest car on road!!! Just kidding about mustang owners but had to post cause I thought it was funny seeing this post after taking one out myself just the other day!

I noticed the first carcass on the way to where I was going, then on the way back, I thought it was just the carcass, then I see the opossum and he looks at me and does this face:

Then *blah blup*. Pulled in the garage, and no damage.

Hey, Barking Tires, good to hear from someone so close to where I grew up! I remember dispatching one of those critters with my rusty '72 Impala out on I-474 years ago. Must've bounced between the car and the road four or five times on its way through the 'grinder.' Ahhh, good times.

That's funny cause that's exactly area this happened I was going to Turkey Creek movies in Farragut. So how long it been since you moved away from Tennessee? The animals are still around like crazy. Just glad it was smaller animal like possum and wasn't a deer or something that could've caused alot of damage!
