They are included in 'Sold order' stage 2000+ on 08/31 and all order at 1100 on 08/31

I complained that this would happen long ago when this first was announced and a lot of people dismissed me as a whiner and said that $400 was no big deal.

$400 IS a big deal...

I'm sure most of you taking you car in for an oil change and getting charged $400 because they had to add muffler bearings to your car, or change the headligh fluid would be pissed off... this is the same thing. You have no choice!

Thanks for proving that I'm not crazy!

Just because he paid 36,000+ doesn't mean he shouldn't question a $400 "mandatory" addition. $400 is still a lot of money...

If I were you I would take the car it's only $400 more plus you get that added safety feature it's not like they slapped on a $5K mark up on your vehicle. Just my two cents

All I want is an option so I can install them on my pre-option car. Someone at GM was asleep on that. I agree with some, $400.00 is a small price to pay for safety.

You can get a pretty decent computer for that price... maybe some people here think it's chicken feed. To many of us it would be a pain and inconvenience and to others of us it could break the bank.

In case you didn't read the owners manual, this is not a safety feature. It assists you in parallel parking and does not detect small children or objects like bikes or toys you may run over.

You could cancel the order and buy a Mustang! They have 0% financing and $1000.00 cash back,I'm sure someone will gladly purchase your Camaro.

I back mine into my garage and use a 4x4 at the rear wheels to know when to stop! I for one wish I had those sensors on mine!

Those scanners are a crock. My friend let his sister back up his Ford Fusion, and she did, into a big rock in their yard. So much for a sensor, hope the Camaro has a better on.

And yes, I would be every bit as pissed if I payed $36,000 for a car, had it in writing, and the dealer goes "We need an extra $400, or GM will take the car back"

Infact, why not just charge $1000, after all, you're already paying $36,000, whats another thousand dollars?

$400 is nothing to sneeze at, you can get CAI for that or put it towards exhaust etc. It also seems pretty steep as a single item add on, this is not a NAV system they are adding here. The 2SS should already come with backup sensors thrown in, kind of silly to ask $400 more just for it.
