'I strongly diagree with Tag UR it comments, which implies that anything that is not the dealer fault the dealer doesn't have to address. I can't buy the car from GM only the dealer. Also, even if I knew about the sensor "beforehand", if I was expecting one price, and GM decided to raise it before my car was built, I'd be upset, plain and simple. '

This is about the silliest thing I've read on here in quite a while If GM increases the price to the dealer then the dealer is going to increase the price to the consumer...period. I know alot of people out there feel we live in a "give it to me for free" nation now but come on!!! Dealers can only buy from GM so I guess they don't have too many choices either do they? TAG, I think you are right on the money!

Should'a just let the dealer keep the car and walk away if the $400 was a problem. Wait till next year and pay less than MSRP and still get the back up sensors that will now be standard on some packages!!

Everyone get's so worked up......IF the dealer didn't tell you about the added cost, THEN you don't have to take the car under those terms, plenty of others lined up to take that car at MSRP or more if you don't want it, the dealer certainly won't care either way.

Geez people pull your head out of your a$$! What you think you're all high & mighty cause you own a camaro? He never said he couldn't afford the $400, he was surprised of the added on $400. So sick of all the "if you can't afford $400 why'd you buy a camaro".

Here's how I handled that issue. I have this set for pulling into the garage forward but it should work for backing in as well. In case you can't tell this is an electrical cord reel with the stop adjusted to touch the window when we are in far enough.

Big benefit with this, no 4X4 that can move around and I now have a retractable cord reel.

Hope it helps.

yay!

I for one am happy they added the sensors... I like them.... it's only about $300 mre here (or less) ... However I do agree that they should eat that cost if you ordered it prior to that!

For all of you readers whom missed my point, it was not the $400.00 that bothers me(I make 6 digits a year) it was the fact that I was not notified, not that this would of changed my mind about the car,I don't like surprises like that.Yes it is a great feature, but let's say they added window locks for $400.00,how would you feel about that on a 2 window car?The car is fantastic,I already put 800 K on it in the last 5 days, just cruising. And for the member that mentioned about affording high octace, that is all I put into it,I even told the dealer not to fill it up before I picked up the car, because I know the dealers don't have high test fuel on their lot and I don't trust dealers enough to take it to the gas station to fill it for me!!!!And last but not least,I did read alot on this site while I waited for my car,but I do not have the time to spend hours seaching,I have a family and other things occupy my time!!!!

I was told by my dealer that because I ordered the car before that was standard I will not be charged for it. Actually, he said I will pay it up front but will be receiving a check in the mail when the dealer is reinbursed from GM.
