Well I’m back.....sort of!
I haven’t been around for quite some time. Demodded my 2011 ss a6, sold the parts and traded the car in. At that time I couldn’t afford to keep driving it every day with the horrible gas mileage it got. Fast forward a few years later, I miss the car and I miss hot rodding. So I put a cam in my truck along with a bunch of other things. Ran pretty good for a full-size 5.3. I did upset a few 5.0’s with it. Well I acquired a nice huge bumber pull camper. That 2000 Silverado just couldn’t handle it. So I traded in my 2016 v6 accord touring coupe on a 2017 Silverado with the 6 speed. Wow. It pulls and stops 100 times better. The original plan was to get a 6th gen ss but the wife talked m out of it. However there was a compromise made. I sold the 2000 Silverado and bought a low mileage clean 2004 gto. I mean clean too. I was originally looking for a 4th gen ss and had one lined up but the deal fell through (guy totaled the car two days before I was getting it....ugh). Anyways, I don’t have another ss like I wanted but I am back in the Ls game. I’ve already begun on this car. Cam, headers, drag radials, 92mm intake and throttle body, udp, hp tuners, ram air intake, yank 3400 stall etc etc. it runs good but the bad thing is I doubt it would beat my bolt on only ss I had by very much. So I just wanted to stop by and say hello. And btw, plans are an ls3 swap and hopefully one day a a6 Trans.
Here’s a pic of it (not the color of choice but I got a smoking deal on it)

Nice car! I miss my 05 at times. Wish I could've kept it but had to use it as a trade in for the Camaro. Here's a pic..

Thx! I can’t say I like it more than my 5th gen but there’s a lot of things o do like better about it. The interior is one of them. It also rides very good. I wish it had the ls3 and 6 speed auto Trans my camaro had tho. That would be a very nice upgrade.

Nice choice. I've always wanted an 06 blue with blue interior. Great looking cars with just a couple of upgrades.

Damn. Almost two years since I posted this. I’ve made some modding headway in two years. Actually pretty major.
Changed cam to a turbo cam Put single 78mm turbo on it New wheels Built the trans as strong as I could (4l60 lol) and it’s holding Car went 11.20@ 125 when I first got the turbo in it on low low boost. maybe 6-7psi. I had a major exhaust crossover leak too. It ought to be a good bit faster now on 12psi with a better cam than then and a much better down pipe. I can’t lie. I had been considering selling it and getting an orange 5th gen camaro and turboing it. I looked at one not long ago and I don’t see how I could run the exhaust. There’s no room from what I can tell Pics

Welcome back! Nice car...
But, tell us more about that camper. Where have you been camping? How's the truck pulling? |

The camper is a grey wolf 29te. It’s much larger than 29’ however. And honestly, I hate that camper. I’ve had nothing but problems out of it since I bought it. I’ve had a leak since I got it that the dealer never fixed even tho they claimed the they did. Evidently it’s been leaking for two years because the floor is now rotted out in the outdoor kitchen area. It’s at the dealer now, hopefully they are going to make good on it and not make me have to push the issue. The truck. It does perfect. No complaints. It told that camper no problem. The camper weighs 7200 dry. My favorite camping spot is reunion lake. We went to buccaneer state park this past weekend for the first time and it wasn’t too bad. Cajun palms is pretty decent but sucks for the kids because they can’t drive my golf cart. Even my 19 year old isn’t allowed. He has his own car, but can’t drive the golf cart. So yea, it’s not too fun for them. We went to yogi bear a couple weekends ago and that place is just podunk. Not a big fan of it. We camped on the beach in Panama City Florida last year and that little campground was pretty nice. I don’t remember the name of it but it’s down there close to the state park.

Are you saying that because last time I posted was almost two years ago? Lol. I’m having a hard time believing it’s been that long. The older we get, time flys by faster.
