From her Wikipedia entry: "She died on August 27, 2019 while attempting a land a speed record. I guess that attempt failed"
Edit: appears in the 2 mins since posting someone removed that last sentence.

The 483 mph shakedown run was last year, according to the article.

Just terrible. She made every show she was on better. Always seem like she knew what she was doing instead of being just a prop.

RIP. She was very cool.
And I’m not that sad for her because...and only speaking for myself >>>>...I should be so lucky to go out doing something I love like that. (Obviously DONT wanna hurt no one else) But I’m not much of a risk taker anymore so I guess I’ll die of old age. |

When I heard this today I couldn't hardly believe it. This is too sad. I remember seeing her on her TV debut on Overhaulin' as one of the students helping to Overhaul their teacher. She was always a lot of fun to watch on all of her appearances. She has done more to get the younger generation and especially women into cars than many if not most. Rest in peace Jessi.

Some of my imaginary internet friends knew her from the King of the Hammers races. They all said that she would talk to anyone that was interested in speaking to her. She was a class act, from the accounts I've heard.
