When my zl1 was stock it felt like it was lacking, which is why I did a stage 5 in the matter of 5000km on it haha

Then was a different ball game!

Some of you guys may read me as bashing about being faster and GTR is be all end all! Hahaha not even close, (myself, dennis, and jay are just having a inside joke digs battle hahaha!

lol...yup... but we all know that your GTR would kill my stock ZL1, no doubt... you of all people should know seems you owned this one...

If I could get my ZL1 built by Mike to run in the low 10's I'd be happy...I just love the muscle car's appearance overall... but The GTR would be my second choice for sure, they got it all right...looks and performance! I'm looking forward to dragging you some day Dennis and Wayne after the mods... weooooooooooo!

No doubt with the right amount of time and money your car can be capable of 10s or better.

Hope you have an auto, otherwise you need a lot more seat time at the strip in a stick car to actually run a 10.xx.

Why do you think Wayne went to a GTR...lol.

Lets race!

Hahahaha awesome Dennis, haha as far as you guys who don't like, or used to own, or traded it out for setting else or whatever, I support your choices, do what makes you happy! Isn't that what this car addiction is all about? I personally understand and have built only turbo "rice" projects as Dennis would say haha! But that's my thing! I go to car cruises! Classic/heritage shows and can pick out years and models and you name it on I still drool and loveeee v8 muscle/pony cars! And everything in between!

I've always wanted a GTR! Didn't want to fork out 100+ grand for a stock one though, so the actual exact color/model/price came available and they were willin to trade zl1 so I did it!

And I've never looked back, I miss some of the things the zl1 does, but personally this one does better!

Ride quality/noise are the 2 things the zl1 has over the GTR! -<--- this isn't a debate it's a personal view! So chillax!

Still on this board cause I love to see zl1 projects and met some pretty decent people on here and want to see what the zl1 comes to in the years to come :-)

Sorry for the rant/misspellings iPhone jabber

Low 10's ZL1 in Alberta air, that will be one serious build.
Are there any ZL1's in Alberta in the 10's yet?

I love the GTR's and if feasible would buy one in a heartbeat! I have so far seen three of them on the road here in So Cal.

I have ran a few low 11's. I have only been to the track a few times and I'm hooked now.

Well the guys at MRL Performance must be really good...They are going to piece together/build something similar to what "Livernois,Redline would do"...should make well over 700rwhp with a good tuneup and put me in the 10's with some decent tires and some suspension work...yes, its going to be an expensive build but hey, thats what I got this car for...its a hobby and I'm learning about this stuff as i go.
some of The work I'm getting done next summer will be the following:

pulley kit
Blower port
Throttle port
CAI
Ignition
Heads
Cam Kit
Exhaust
Custom Torque converter
Custom fuel system
Heat exchanger
Tune
just to name a few...

I happy that he's done up a plan for my car...that gives me the incentive to work my ass off to get the parts between now and next summer, can't wait! cheers!

Here a link to their facebook page for those of you in Alberta or whatever who would like to contact them.... Mike is awesome! he built Dennis car...

That auto will help your learning curve at the strip a lot. But will it be enough?

If MRL can make a Ford go fast they must be good!
You will be in good hands.
