So I guess I'm the only one that thinks the exhaust sounds like ass then?

Well, i kind of get it! I too am not fully satisfied with the sound of the exhaust in those videos. I would like a deeper rumble rather than the high pitched raspy barking! Also the misfires just dont sound quite right... maybe it's just because the engine is cold, who knows!

I like this recording a lot better thats how it hopefully will sound! (would be great if someone could embed the video)

It's hollow and raspy and sounds weak to me.

I would not judge it off of the recordings.... cameras can do goofy things to sound. Im sure this is one area GM would not over look.

Hopefully, but honestly who keeps stock exhaust anyways? A car like that begs for a sweet aftermarket set up!

I'll be keeping it until the aftermarket makes a dual mode system. I don't want to lose that functionality. BB exhaust makes a dual mode system for the Z06, so I'm hoping they and other companies do the same for the ZL1.

Is the exhaust popping due to a lean condition?
