I run mine through the car wash once a week. It's just a car.

I do hand wax and polish though about every other month or so.

I am usually up in North Western PA for the winter time so I take her through a touchless car wash once a week. Then about once a month I detail her at my fire station. Outside of that she is hand-wash only

I dont have any problem taking it through the wash. In fact, after 8 years of owning rag tops, its a welcome change to be able to sit inside the car and watch it get washed in a matter of seconds, instead of making it into an afternoon ordeal.

To prevent damage like you see in the photo, I strictly hand wash. A Camaro is an enthusiasts car, treat it like one. If you must use a car wash save it for tan mini-vans.

It is not "just a car" to me. I look forward to washing her every Sunday. I put on the ipod and spend a few hours doing it.

I just spent the afternoon washing and detailing.

It is also great excerise. I don't go to the car wash. They reuse the water. You never know what is in that water.

I have hard well water at my house, so I take mine to the wand wash in town. But nothing touches my car but the "rinse" water. I hand wash and dry it there.
