My local dealer just marked down his Z06 again to just over $60k, I don't know the trim level though. He also has a 3LT on sale for $38k. I live in the mountains though and the roads and driveways around here isn't friendly to low cars at all. Seeing a corvette or any other nice, low car without damage to the nose is a rarity and not many people are willing to spend that kind of money just to have repair or replace the nose every couple of months.

thats sweet. from what ive seen over here they act like the Z06 just came out, u can get a used one for a decent price maybe a C5 but anything new is expensive as hell. even for the 5thgen most dealers are charging over sticker... i had to go 2 hours away to get promissed MSRP

But I agree with the OP the Viper is a sexy bastard... there are a couple at a local dealer. I can get a 2006 Viper GTS for 34,000 right now.... damn tempting.

But as I've come to level with my own thoughts.... The Camaro is going to be a very incredible car. the suspension, the engine, the styling all add to its uniqueness and its flexibility on the road.

Dude stay with the Camaro..

I've gone through this debate with myself for the last seven months. I've been fighting over a Maserati Gransport, the Camaro or a 2007 Z06 I can get them all for the same price....

But I think in the long run. I'm going to be happier with the Camaro.

(I'll be happier, plus I wont look like a pompous ASS driving around in a Maserati.)

It's just like the mustang or the camaro... it can't be european.... While the new corvette is different, it's a modern car, with modern technology, the ZR1 has the same HP of a Ferrari 599 and it consumes much less, and I'd choose it instead of a Porsche or a Nissan GT-R...
Ah and I'd choose the viper for an another reason: in 5/6 years when you will want to change your car, Camaro will be there waiting for you while for the Viper I'm sure this is the last year of production...

So it's the American supercar because it's wildly inferior technologically?! That's nice. Glad our cars have got such a nice rep around the world. Well...anyways, I'd re-evaluate the Camaro if I were you. Because based on the above, it's completely OPPOSITE of the Viper. Camaro is thoroughly modern performance.
