Question Muffler Delete

I have a question. I'm thinking of doing the muffler delete and have picked up a stock catback from JoJo to do this. I figured I'd save my stock exhaust in case I want to change it back, but before I do it I was wondering if anyone has done the muffler delete and than changed to a catback system and would like to swop it for the factory exhaust or sell it. Thanks, Gary

The muffler delete is awsome. It sounds great. Be aware of the Drone and decebile poping that comes with the muffler delete. You can eliminate some of it with an X pipe or by adding the Hemerfoltz J (however you spell it). I had the muffler delete with no Cats and it was very loud. My wife made me buy aftermarket because of the Drone. I am very happy with my new setup. I am just homing it gets louder with time.

Keep in mind that i have LT headers.

Thanks Cowboy. Exhaust was way loud in 1st clip. Sounded real good in 2nd clip. I don't want it that loud though, just louder than stock.

The muffler delete will give you a nice growl but like I said it will give you drone at 1900 - 2000 RPM and deceble popping when you decelerate. If you can handle that then you will be good just don't get headers or it will be like my first clip. If you want a nice sound check out Stainless Works retro dual chambered exhaust. it would have been my choice but with headers it would have been VERY LOUD. Talk to Alex with Apex Motor Sports he can hook you up with that particular catback for a decent price.

Our camaro has muffler delete. It sounds great! It is not to loud but you still get a good muscle car growl. There is drone and the popping but you get used to it. i would recommend it.

Muffler delete is the best low dollar mod I have done. $100 so cant beat that, its not too loud at all in the car, but other people can hear it just fine . Until I get a full cat back (going to get a custom one) this is perfect. Love the sound. check around, systems like the SLP Loud mouth 1 is basically a delete. So the $100 instead of the $400 (not installed) was a no brainer.

Midas did ours. We didnt pay it since it was on the car when we bought it but it was like 200 in labor alone plus like 40 for the pipes. I thought that was expensive but idk.

Had my water collecting pillows cut off of my L99. Best $150.00 I ever spent. The AFM sound is a little wierd, but it definitely sounds more like a muscle car now. Meineike of Dover, DE did mine. They have a guy there that loves Chevrolet and does good custom work. He reused my tips and took his time to get them centered up perfect. Too bad you are about an hour and a half from me

Did the muffler delete. I like how it sounds. The drone with AFM is crazy, but get rid of AFM and it will no longer have the drone issue. The sound deadning of the car keeps the drone in check. After a while it is not noticed.

Sport mode will get rid of the AFM sound if you don't want to get a tune. Someone else mentioned it on the forum that the AFM does not operate in sport mode
