..........on a side note. I can recall the era when several auto makers supplied a eight track tape or cassette recording that you could actually play in the head unit.......introducing the cars special features and how to operate/use them.

yeah i have a Camaro welcome cassette from a 91 got it for $5 on ebay. its never opened so i kinda dont want to open it. not that i have a cassette player anyways.

Each dealership has the option to purchase these and place owners manuals into these with salesman's business card. Problem is some dealerships don't buy them!

I bought an entire Owners manual package for a 2011 Buick Regal on ebay, kept the cover/canvas pouch. It's just a simple black bag that GM supplies to Buick owners that spend less on a car than we Camaro owners do & chucked the books. I think it ran me about $25 bucks all done.

On a side note it's not just our cars at $24-$45 grand that don't come with a bag. My father just spent $60 grand on a brand new dooley as loaded as it could possibly be, and no bag there either. It's a Chevy thing.

Try SLP. I have been using the one that I got with my certificate of authenticity with my 2002 SS. It is embroidered leather.

I just spoke to the guys at http://www.leatherseats.com. They make seat covers in the black / orange for the 2010+ Camaro. Probably other colors too. I told them of our "Owners Manual Pouch" plight and begged them to produce something nice out of leather or even vinyl. He said he'd make some inquiries and get back to me.

Maybe if a few more of us contact them with the same request, we could get someone producing something we could all use!

Anyway, just throwing it out there. I'll let you know what I hear back from them on it.

You have to have your dealer order the SAM option the samich is an optional upgread feature

I just bought the owners manual pouch from this guy on ebay, he had 6 but is out of them now,,,,but he always gets more in... the sellers name is b.roth,,,the item is under chevrolet glove box pouch camaro... i paid 6.99 plus shipping...fits perfect

My Camaro didn't come with a cover but my 2004 Silverado did. It's just a simple black cover with a Chevy bowtie in the corner.

I purchased a 2010 Corvette C6 leather pouch on ebay for $26. It doesn't have any vette markings on it and my Camaro manual and docs fit perfect. Now I have a new set of vette manuals, dvd, etc I'm planning on selling to recoup most of the cost.
