Here in TX it's only just now getting cool enough to run without the AC sometimes, and I've found that every time I turn it off, my windows get fogged up pretty quick. Turn it back on, and it clears up. I'm hoping that won't continue to be an issue when it gets colder.

This is the biggest problem, no way to completely cut off the defrost. On a humid night when you want air it's impossible to keep moisture from forming on THE OUTSIDE OF THE GLASS not the inside like people are thinking. I brought this up before and all I got was "all cars do it" sorry no they don't.

The best I've found is to just add in a tiny amount of heat so it's not so super cold out the defrost vent.

Thanks everyone, I'll experiment some this weekend. Goining to zaino it Saturday and I'll put some rain-x on the windshield. One more comment though!!! I've heard people complain that they are dissapointed with the power of this car when they first get it and are waiting for it to "wake up'. ....Well, let me say, I have the LS3 with 6m and the track pack exhaust and this car has plenty of ass. Only has 6 miles on it when i picked it up and its hard to believe that it will only get better!

A word of caution:

Drive the car with the Air conditioning on -- then put it in the garage or somewhere where the pavement is dry. Make sure that you see a puddle under the car after a few minutes (the condensate from the air conditioner) If you DON'T - take it in to your dealer. We have found a few cars ( Mom Settlemire's being one of them) where the condensate tube has been pinched in the assembly process - thereby not allowing the condensate to drain - you'll not only get fogged windows -- but eventually you'll get 'spitting' out of the air conditioning vents.

I hate digging up old threads, but I've had my Camaro for a little over a month and I've noticed that it does fog up down near the vents quite a bit. So I did a search and found this thread. I'm assuming it has to do with the high humidity that we can have here in Missouri, but I thought I'd just check. I guess I'm just curious if this is a real problem. I've lived in Missouri all my life and I guess I just don't remember any of my previous cars fogging up the way this one does.

Sometimes it just happens. I've had it happen in every vehicle i've owned, but NC's climate is steamy so it's not surprising. I just turn the recirc off and crack the windows a bit to equalize the humidity that usually takes care of it in a few minutes/seconds.

Mine does that to but only when I go through the car wash. Hit the defrosters on high for a few seconds clears it up. usually with the temp set on cold works the best for me but I have never had it do it any other time.

I had this issue on the weekend.

Turned out to be wax on the window from when i waxed the car. I used the towel to wipe of windows to.

Cleaned windows real good and havent had issue since.

I know it's normal. I've had quite a few cars and every one of them would fog up now and then. What I'm saying is that I've never had a car fog as often as this one. And it's not the whole window. It's just at the base near the vents.
