Hellcat is riding on an old chassis, but for 1/4 mile I'm expecting Ford will include a Drag mode for the GT500 to match or beat HC times.

If they are benchmarking the ZL1 we all know why that is, but rumor is there will be an 'R' version for the GT500 too. I don't think the standard GT500 will exceed performance of non-1LE ZL1(excluding straight line speed). Anyway that 700 HP figure has been thrown around a lot, that's a lot of power for a stock car. That looks like a failure to me. That won't be enough to be the ZL1 1lE.

Holy shit, that curb weight! I'm loving the power but that weight really negates a lot of it much like the hellcat and demon.

I believe the hp and torque numbers, but not the weight. Way too heavy.

Would be good idea if they name it GT500KR insteed of Just GT500R

On a Side note: I though this car will have DCT only.

That weight can't be right.. a GT350R is like 3650... if this car has a blower and stuff.. It just doesn't add up.

I'm pretty sure that Ford planned a 5.2l. cross plane crank for the GT500. Voodoo flat plane has a 8250 redline. With the vibration issues that Ford has experienced with the flat plane crank at 528 hp, I believe that they decided to go cross plane in the GT500 with the higher HP/TQ numbers.

Ferrari can do flat plane... Blue oval not so much.

It could very well be fake but, that’s a picture of a computer screen, not paper.
