Chevrolet Performance Shifter Ball

GM Part #19301623. This is the Black Chevrolet Performance Shifter Ball kit. Does anyone know if this will fit on a Hurst Shifter.

You would need to know the size of the inserts that come with it. My Hurst stick takes a 3/8ths insert which is pretty common.

Currently the Chevrolet Performance Shift Knobs 19301623 Shift Knobs do not list fitment for a hurst shifter and will require test fitting with the included adapters. We do offer other shift knobs that will work with a Hurst shift like Hurst Classic Shift Knobs 1631401

I am curious if this fits the standard 5th gen shifter. Was thinking it's a pop off. I would like a new ball like this now and be able to keep when I go MGW later.

Stock shifter is push on. A shift ball with inserts would not work. You can thread the stock shifter shaft and then use a handle that takes inserts. There used to be a DIY on it and I did it about 10 years ago. Worked fine, but then I came across a cheap Barton short throw and changed it out again.

I believe this is my original post where I
threaded the original shifter, about 10 years ago

Ok, that is cool. Hadn't thought of doing it. Actually, what I want is to put a new ball on now with stock shifter. Then later when I'm ready to do clutch, do an MGW and keep the ball. Seems like this would let me do it. Thanks!

Sorry for the belated reply. Just now saw your post. Happily, Im semi-retired but, because of that, I don’t get anywhere near the time on the lathe to do this sort of stuff. Otherwise, I’d probably entertain the thought.
