PPF and Ceramic on my ZLE and Dodge Demon.

Pricey, but 100% worth it if you are keeping the car long term.

My Demon still looks like I just picked it up with just a simple wash.

It depends on a lot of factors, not the least of which is price. Some installers charge more than it would cost to paint and fit a brand new panel.

Driving habits also make a huge impact, repainting a bumper every couple years will add up.

For me, I don't think current prices would be worth it. Weekend toy, low miles, makes the cost more than the benefit in my use case.

That said, if I had a Demon like HemiDave I would absolutely PPF that puppy. Some vehicles are rare/expensive enough that it is a no brainer.

I did PPF-lite, with Xpel stealth on the headlights, door-handle cups, and gas door. Plus the satin black vinyl wrap on my hood, roof, and trunk lid (LOL) provide a little protection.

For this daily-driver Camaro, I figure chips are inevitable - so I focused on self-inflicted wear areas. Doing the headlights reflected supply-chain concerns that were in play at the time I was ordering the wraps.

No PPF for me. I honestly think its a bit of a waste of money, personally. Can always get the bumper or hood repainted when it gets really bad for not really a significant difference in price (for the cost of a well done PPF job).

Also, like my last car, I kept the thing meticulous over 140K miles until someone decided to rear end me and total the car. All it takes is a moment like that to ruin all the effort and money put into keeping it perfect... You can't control others from ruining it for you... So I'd rather save the $2-3K and use it for other stuff. Instead, I'll keep it clean, waxed and paint corrected as needed without the PPF.

You’ve seen paint jobs done by crummy shops. There’s certainly an abundance of bad work out there, but a good shops work will look seamless and will be a better quality paint job (than Chevy’s).

How would you know without taking to the owner? The bad ones stand out because they have obvious indicators, but you've probably seen far more cars that have been repainted and just didn't realize it.

I am a fan of PPF on front bumper and fenders, kind of wish I had gotten it on my rockers as well but I mainly drive on the track. Ideally on the quarter panel too....

Well, Ideally everywhere lol.

I considered the PPF but only got the Ceramic Pro. I'll find out later I'm sure if it was a mistake or not.
Living up north, my cars took a beating and the paint faded over time. Living down south is a bit better in terms of wear and tear, but I want my car to look better and be easier to maintain for the long run.
I won't be driving much overall (4 mile drive to work), but I will be driving daily. I also plan to keep the car for a long time. It's covered by my insurance, so I think it's worth it.
With the Ceramic Guys Butter Wax, I felt like I needed to wash every week. The car looked dirty. With the Ceramic Pro, it's not holding dust and dirt the same.

First pic is after one day of rain.
Second is a week later, after 2 more consecutive days of rain and no touch-up or wash.
After, I gave it a quick touch-up behind the wheels and back and went about my business.

I had to have a couple parts on my Harley repainted because the shipping company damaged it. I'd love for you to stop by and tell me what parts on it were repainted. I can guarantee you 110% you'll never be able to tell me. Feel free to stop by and prove me wrong.

You obviously don't go to reputable painters with some comment like that.
