Your local dealer most certainly can to the best of my knowledge. Worst case scenario, call Chevy Customer Service and ask them. 1-800-222-1020

Thanks for the help I'll call my local dealer again. I think they are just upset because I did not buy new from them. Saved $8000.00 driving to Georgia from Kentucky.

Can anyone tell me why my VIN# does not show up in this database? The car was built sometime in late October or early November 2009 as I picked it up from CamaroScotty at Newman Chevy in Cedarburg, Wisconsin a couple of days after Thanksgiving.

The car is an Inferno Orange Metallic 1LT RS with gray interior, six-speed manual transmission, sunroof, and polished aluminum wheels. The VIN# is 2G1FF1EV8A9162610
I searched the previous number as well as the one after it and they both showed up. What's the deal?

Status: In-Transit from Osh
Shipped by Railroad rail number ETTX820737

Curious if this is via Union Pacific and if there is a free online portal to track the rail car? Destination is Southern California. Dealer tells me he is being told a March 7 delivery to him.

Thank you,

-Dean

Does anyone know why some of our Camaro's do not show up on http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com? I just got my VIN today and it's not listed, even though other vins after mine are? Thanks

The same happened to me - my VIN didn't show up yesterday although I saw plenty of VINs after mine. But this morning mine was in there.

I believe that if it is a "sold" order and the dealer indicates that it is sold as soon as he gets the VIN, it does not show up. Some dealers do this so they can get another allotment to make up for the "sold" order.

Only if the dealer indicates to GM that it is "sold" as soon as a VIN IS ISSUED. If the dealer waits until you actually buy the car befOre he indicates that it is sold , your info should appear.
