Torque management delete

Seen a bunch of you with the trifecta tune and have some questions.

Did any of you have your torque management removed? If so.... what are your impressions?

What are the cons of this option? Like tranny strain for sure..... but is it so big of a deal as to be majorly concerned about it?

p.s. I meant to put this in the regular v6 area ...sry.

I don't think we can do a complete torque management delete but Vince can lower it just alittle.

Venom - talked to Vince and he said that he can completely delete the torque mgnt but he doesn't recommend it. He doubts the drive train would hold up for very long. Vince said he will custom tailor the tune to however the customer wants it though, so I would check with him!

Geez I'd LOVE more snap when in sport mode, but I'm too scared about the warranty thing lol.

When Predator first released their tuner for the Trailblazer SS it took out all TQ mgt. My trans was toast after a month. They released an update that put most of it back in. But I sure missed that 1st-2nd kick! lol
Some torque mgt is necessary to protect the drivetrain. But how much? IDK

Both transmissions have some torque management but the Automatic has a bigger torque management for sure.

I know this.... but one is stronger than the other

Taking all the torque management out of the auto... iffy

taking all the torque management out of the manual... go for it.

The key to reducing torque management is also making sure you increase the shift pressures to go with it... and making sure you don't have flares... or yes, you'll burn the belts up...

I had Vince reduce my torque management some.. not sure how much.. love chirping 2nd! LOL!

So how does reducing torque management affect the manual trans cars? In other posts I was told the M6 does not have "torque management" to tune? What's the real deal?

Thanks

Do you know how much you had Vince lower it by? I asked him to lower mine around 25%

In another thread you enlightened me by mentioning that torque management and shift firmness are 2 different things, and my impression was that increasing shift firmness was the key to chirping 2nd, torque management less so. If I got that right maybe people are more interested in increasing shift firmness. If I got it wrong feel free to correct!
